Several Comments
Having just joined this site, I have several comments to make:
First, I respectfully congratulate its people on their ministry, mission, and service.
Second, I have devoted 18 years to researching the early A.A. Christian Fellowship, its basic
ideas from the Bible, and its astonishing cures and 75% to 93% documented success rate among seemingly hopeless,
medically incurable real alcoholics who went to any length to establish a relationship and their fellowship with
the Creator and His son Jesus Christ.
Third, the darkness and idolatry that more and more permeate those purporting to write and speak
for the recovery community needs to be eliminated by illumination and devotion--the illumination is that A.A.
Cofounder Dr. Bob required of newcomers that they believe in God and come to Him through accepting Christ; that the
program of recovery was Bible-based and involved abstinence, reliance on God, obeying His will, growing in
fellowship through prayer and Bible study and seeking His guidance and reading Christian literature and then
carrying to others the message that God had done for them what they could not do for themselves.
Fourth, there is as much room for born again Christians in A.A. today as there was in the
founding days and program. And they need to learn their history, stand their ground, and devote themselves to
serving, glorifying, thanking, obeying and serving our Heavenly Father. For Dr. Bob's last message line was: Your
Heavenly Father will never let you down! He won't.
