Jesus Christ and Christianity is the most discussed topic in the world today!
Even so, there are still people in the world today who have never heard “the Gospel of Christ.” Isn’t that amazing?!
While I am sure that there are many more people who have heard of Jesus than those who have not, the unfortunate reality is that the majority of those who have heard of Jesus, have a general misunderstanding of who He is and what He taught while he was here on Earth. This is true for two reasons;
- There is a spirit of Antichrist in the world today (1 John 4:3), and
- There is no one who truly seeks to know God (Romans 3:11), even though God has put eternity into the hearts of men (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
There are many websites on the Internet that address the topics of God, the Bible and Christianity. Not all of these sites serve the same purpose, perspective, or posture. Each proposes to expound upon these topics in a manner according to the heart of the person (or persons) producing the respective website(s).
The volume and variety of resources regarding the topics of God, the Bible, and Christianity is, quite obviously, not limited to the Internet. There is a plethora of books, media, churches and para-church organizations, that offer various resources for those seeking to learn about, grow in, and share the truth of God as He is revealed in the Holy Scriptures. So much so, that many throw up their hands in utter despair, wondering why something so important, is seemingly so complicated and confusing.
It is truly sad how fallen man has taken the simple gift of God’s grace and distorted it into a deleterious theology.
Then there are those who profess to be Christian, either out of ignorance or for personal gain; such as Simon – A Man Who Tried to Buy the Holy Spirit. Either way, their end will be like that of Esau who sold his birthright for a bowl of stew. (See Genesis 25:29-34 cf; Matthew 7:21-23)
There are many passages in the Bible warning people to be on guard against those who practice deception.
1 John 3:7 “Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;”
A fellow brother in Christ had this to say regarding deceivers and being deceived;
There are many “Deceivers” in the Church today. There are also many in the Church that are being “Deceived”. The difference being, that most of the “Deceivers” are sent by the enemy, and although some of the “Deceived” are too, most of the “Deceived” are just not aware of what’s going on. They are very naive or immature. (Hebrews 5:14)
I believe that some of the “Deceivers” as well as those being “Deceived” do not actually know that they have been or are currently being “Deceived”. Unfortunately, the “Deceivers” and/or the “Deceived” may also include Pastors/Priests and Church Leaders.

That is why the author of the letter to Hebrews encouraged believers to…
See to it that no one fail to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” spring up and cause trouble, and by it the many become defiled; that no one be immoral or irreligious like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.
Hebrews 12:15-17 (RSV)
Much has been written that is definitely helpful for those who are seeking…
- To learn what the ultimate purpose of human life is really about.
- To know what it is to be freely forgiven and to freely forgive others.
- To learn what it is to be “born again” and become transformed into the image of Christ.
- To live in loving obedience to His commands.
- To experience the active presence of God’s Spirit of Holiness as He guides you through every moment of your day.
If you long to experience the peaceful confidence and unshakable joy that only comes to those who have placed their complete trust in the Son of God, then forget about religion! Discover for yourself the TRUTH about God and his pure love for you! How? Read the Bible. Pray before, during, and after reading; asking God’s Holy Spirit to open your eyes and your heart to what you are reading and how it applies to you. Consider what the Apostle Paul had to say regarding the difference between the wisdom of man and the wisdom that comes from the Holy Spirit. (See 1 Corinthians 2)
The aim of Focused and Free is to help people FOCUS on the light of God’s ETERNAL, life-giving TRUTH, so that they may be FREE from the dark deception that leads to eternal separation from God. As a result, there is bound to be much resistance toward the accomplishment of this goal, just as there was toward the rebuilding of the temple in (and the walls around) Jerusalem, in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah.
Therefore, as the Apostle Paul stated in his first letter to the church in Corinth (chapter two, verse 3), it is “in weakness and in fear and much trembling,” that I share with you my love of God and the Good News that is for all mankind — as is recorded in the Holy Bible and is made manifest in the hearts of those who have accepted the testimony of God’s Spirit of Holiness which has been poured out upon the earth.
It is the Spirit that testifies as to “the way, the truth, and the light,” that is God’s Son, Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ). He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” –Acts 4:12
May the knowledge of Christ always be your greatest treasure,
and may your heart always be one with His.
