Clean Thoughts

I’m not sure why, but it seems that God’s Spirit likes to communicate with me while I’m taking a shower.

Just today – while I was in the shower – I was thinking about the opening question of the article God Answers Fervent Prayer; ”Do you ever feel as if your prayers bounce off the ceiling rather than reaching God?”

Two things came to mind:

  1. The old saying, “From your lips to God’s ear!
  2. Jesus saying, “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.” (Matt 12:36).

No more reason to wonder if God heard your prayer, considering the two statements above – most specifically, statement #2. If he hears every careless word, then he hears every prayer as well. \o/

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Mark 11:23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
